Visions' functionality is broken down into discrete modules, allowing users to purchase only the parts of the program which are relevant to their operations.

- Risk Assessment implements the API 580/581 semi-quantitative process as a configuration for calculating risk for given equipment, but also allows the user to customize the risk factors, matrix structure, equations and every other element of the risk-based inspection process to the needs of a specific plant.
- The Standard Equipment module contains support for most types of equipment commonly used in the petroleum industry: boilers (both firetube and watertube), cooling towers, stacks, pressure vessels, tanks and furnaces.
- The Piping module provides support for trending, inspection and scheduling of a plant's process piping.
- The Exchanger module provides engineering data and scheduling support for multiple types of heat exchangers and tube bundles.
- The Safety Valve module supports PSVs, rupture discs and similar pressure safety equipment.
- The Pipeline module extends Visions' proven structure to include pipeline operations, both onshore and offshore.
- The Trending module provides Visions users with a variety of additional predictive calculation and plant process analysis tools, including product content testing, production rate analysis and cathodic protection logging.
- The ERP Integration module links the Visions database with SAP ERP, allowing asset management software to automatically update Visions when tasks have been completed, and Visions to update ERP when new tasks are created.
- The Graphics Communicator module provides interconnectivity between Visions and AutoCAD.
